360 Programs
With ESP 360, everyone gets the chance to be the best they can possibly be, year round. From perfecting old swim strokes to learning new brush strokes, year-round programs are available for all ESP participants. Throughout the year, programs are put on at the ESP building and various locations around the Watkinsville area. They include NKA, Club, Special Events, and after school programs. Participants have the opportunity to grow in confidence and skill level 360 days of the year.
ESP Summer Camp
Camp is Extra Special People’s largest and most popular program. It runs for 8 weeks during the Summer: 6 weeks of day camp; 2 weeks of residential overnight in partnership with Camp Twin Lakes. We go out to our newly acquired property in Jackson County, Camp Hooray, for Fun Fridays and other great events throughout the summer! Camp serves more than 400 young people with developmental disabilities each summer. The camp provides continuous learning as well as social and recreational opportunities. ESP Camp offers close counselor relationships which provide attention and support to our campers and their needs.

Special Events
“Our special events serve multiple purposes: inviting in our community and cultivating awareness of our mission, lifting up and celebrating the children we serve & their families and sending out people who participate in our events to spread the word about ESP and engaging people with disabilities appropriately. All funds raised through special events serve to support our year-long programs & summer camp- keeping costs low to families & providing an opportunity for ESP to raise funds for the building campaign. Thank you in advance for joining us in inviting in, lifting up & sending out! Together- we CAN.” – Dr. Allison Nealy
Family Support
ESP recognizes the daily challenges of raising a child with special needs. Life is full of transitions and changes, and ESP wants to be a resource as you navigate the twists and turns. From January to May, ESP will be holding monthly workshops, each addressing a specific topic and led by parents and experts. It’s important to realize that each workshop is relevant to every family regardless of the age or stage of your child. It’s never too early or too late to be thinking about these issues and planning ahead. We encourage you to plan to attend as many sessions as possible!
