Cabin Concept

When designing Camp Hooray, the UGA & GA Tech students were challenged to have a “top-bunk mentality” all around camp. “Top-bunk” mentality means that every camper could access every camp activity throughout camp. This concept came from the challenge to give every child the opportunity to sleep on the top-bunk! In order to achieve the challenge, the students have mocked up the use of the land’s topography for a split level cabin providing entry at the second level so that individuals of all mobility levels are able to sleep on the top bunk.
